[Case from CHC Mawai]

Mawai (Ayodhya):
On 27 June early Morning, Gross negligence by doctors and a staff nurse was revealed on Friday morning at the Community Health Center (CHC) in Mawai. A staff nurse, who was alone at the CHC, admitted a woman with a high-risk pregnancy for a normal delivery. The woman gave birth to a low-weight baby, but the placenta got stuck inside her afterward.
During this time, the staff nurse suddenly asked the family members to take the woman and the newborn to the district hospital. This led to an argument between the nurse and the relatives. The staff nurse claimed that they referred the mother and child via a 102 ambulance, but the family refused to take them to the district hospital. Instead, the family transported the seriously ill woman to a private hospital located at the Mawai intersection using an e-rickshaw.
👉 Private Hospitals Refused to Admit the Patient
After being referred in critical condition from the CHC, the family members spent nearly two hours trying to get her admitted to various private hospitals. However, due to fear of health department raids, no private hospital was willing to admit her. When the matter reached the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), CHC Superintendent Santosh Singh went to the Mawai intersection to investigate. But by then, the patient and her family had already left.
This incident remained a hot topic of discussion throughout the day.
